Ireland are gearing up to travel to Namibia for a five-match ODI series later this month as they ramp up their preparations for next year's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. The side announced their squad, with the selectors largely maintaining their faith in the familiar faces for the Namibia tour.

The tour gives the side an important opportunity to fine-tune their preparations ahead of a crucial qualifying campaign. Having missed out on the last two editions of the men's ODI World Cup, Ireland will look to secure a place at the 2027 tournament. Notably, both Ireland and Namibia have never faced each other in a men's ODI, making this series really crucial.

Their most recent meeting in a senior men's international came during the 2021 T20 World Cup in Sharjah. Moreover, Ireland will also be looking to bounce back from a disappointing ODI series against Afghanistan in August, when they suffered a 4-0 defeat on home soil.

Ireland squad for Namibia: Paul Stirling (c), Lorcan Tucker, Mark Adair, Andrew Balbirnie, Ben Calitz, Curtis Campher, Cade Carmichael, George Dockrell, Gavin Hoey, Matthew Humphreys, Andy McBrine, Liam McCarthy, Byron McDonough, Jai Moondra, Jordan Neill, Harry Tector

Matches:

1st ODI - October 22, Windhoek

2nd ODI -  October 24, Windhoek

3rd ODI -  October 27, Windhoek

4th ODI - October 30, Windhoek

5th ODI - November 1, Windhoek
