T20 Blast 2024 - All you need to know

The excitement is an all-time high among fans, with the 22nd edition of Vitality Blast 2024 approaching its start pretty fast. The T20 Blast 2024 is set to get underway from Thursday (30th May).
The tournament will run through the next three months, with the final scheduled to be played on Saturday (14th September). The thrilling tournament will be churning out high-voltage clashes. Reigning champions Somerset will be defending the title as they came out victorious during the last season after beating Essex Eagles.
A whole host of international stars will be missing the tournament due to the upcoming T20I World Cup 2024 that will be played across USA and West Indies. The T20I World Cup 2024 will be beginning from 1st June as a lot of international players will be marking their absence. Teams at the Vitality Blast will have to deal with the absence of overseas players. The absence of numerous players will provide the opportunity to other players to exhibit their worth.
There will be a total of 133 matches being played among 18 counties. There will be two groups of nine in the competition - the North Group and the South Group.
18 teams vying in the tournament are - Lancashire, Durham, Gloucestershire, Essex, Yorkshire, Worcestershire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Hampshire, Surrey, Glamorgan, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Warwickshire, Somerset, Sussex, Middlesex and Kent
