IND vs SA, 2nd T20I: Spirited India out to run riot against struggling South Africa

India and South Africa are once again gearing up for an exciting clash as both teams are set to lock horns in the second T20I, scheduled to be played on Thursday at PCA New Cricket Stadium. This will be the first men's international match at the stadium. India lead the series 1-0, having completely dominated the visitors in the first game in Cuttack. With confidence on their side, they would hope to deepen their advantage against struggling Proteas. South Africa, on the other hand, head into the series with their back against the wall.
In the first game, India posted 175-6, thanks to a gutsy unbeaten 59 off 28 balls by Hardik Pandya following the early top-order trouble. He was the bedrock of India's competitive total, rescuing the side when it mattered the most. South Africa, in their chase, collapsed in a dramatic fashion as they were bowled out for 74 in 12.3 overs, registering their lowest T20I total ever. Indian pacers and spinners took full advantage of the conditions, running riot in the South African line-up.
South Africa, after enduring a depressing result in the opening game, would hope to overcome the shock collapse and eye a promising performance from their top-order batters, who showed utter inconsistency in the first game. South African bowlers too would aim for an improved performance and avoid another bowling debacle.
On the other hand, India, who are carrying the momentum, would bank on their collective efforts to further trouble the visitors. However, the opening duo of Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, who lost their wickets cheaply in the first outing, would want an encouraging comeback.
