Melbourne Stars Women are set to host Hobart Hurricanes Women in the 24th match of the ongoing Women's Big Bash League, scheduled to be held on Wednesday at Junction Oval in Melbourne. Melbourne Stars, buoyed by away wins over the Sixers and Heat, will be looking to secure their first win on home soil.

Stars are currently perched third in the points table with three wins in five games. Notably, they lost one game, and their one match ended in no result.

On the other hand, the Hobart Hurricanes Women, who are sitting atop the points table, will aim to return to winning ways after suffering their first loss of the season against the Sydney Sixers in their last game. In their last game against the Sixers, the Hurricanes failed to chase a total of 147, being bowled out for 136 in 18.4 overs. Their batting, which has been their strength so far, failed to live up to the expectations in their last match. However, they will take confidence from their past wins to make a turnaround.
