Ever-reliable and vastly experienced players Andre Russell, David Warner, Sunil Narine and Nicholas Pooran, made headlines after being retained by their respective franchises for the upcoming edition of the ILT20, underscoring their immense value and contribution to their teams. A total of 69 players have been retained ahead of the next edition. 

Notable players like all-rounders Wanindu Hasaranga, Mohammad Amir and Sikandar Raza are also among the 69 players having been retained by their respective franchises. Two UAE players also feature in the retention list of each franchise. Teams now can sign the players under the player acquisition window that will remain open till September 15.

Moreover, teams will also need to rope in UAE players to fulfil the quota of four local players in each franchise. The upcoming edition of the tournament, which is third, will be played next year from January 11 to February 9.
