India’s nine-wicket victory over Bangladesh drives them to Asian Games Men’s Cricket final

India thrashed Bangladesh by nine wickets on Friday at Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field in the Semi Final of the ongoing Asian Games Men’s T20I to enter the final of the tournament. Put into bat, Bangladesh got off to a disastrous start with all of their top order batters losing their wickets in quick succession. Opener Parvez Hossain Emom hammered (23) runs to give a bit of impetus to the team and Down the order, Jaker Ali scored (24) runs to take the team to the total of (96/9) in (20) overs. For India, Sai Kishore and Washington Sundar returned with three and two wickets respectively while Arshdeep Singh, Tilak Varma, Ravi Bishnoi and Shahbaz Ahmed claimed one-wicket each to wrap up Bangladesh’s innings quickly. Chasing the target, India lost Yashavi Jaiswal (0) really early but Ruturaj Gaikwad and Tilak Varma scored (40*) and (55*) respectively to take the team over the line.
