In a pulsating encounter in the final of the WPL 2024, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women cruised to their maiden WPL title, beating Delhi Capitals Women by eight wickets on Sunday at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. There was no stopping RCB as they rocked up to their first Women's Premier League title.

Putting up an impressive display of spin bowling, the Royal Challengers' bowlers managed to limit Delhi Capitals, who decided to bat after winning the toss, to a notional total of (113) runs in (18.3) overs. The prodigious bowling performance from Shreyanka Patil, Sophie Molineux and Sobhana Asha dismantled Delhi Capitals’s top-notch batting attack, returning with the figures of 4-12 (3.3), 3-20 (4) and 2-14 (4) respectively.

Chasing an average target of (114) runs, Royal Challengers Bangalore Women applied a cautious approach with Smriti Mandhana and Sophie Devine firing (31) and (32) respectively to set the tone for team’s win. However, both openers departed after providing the team with a great start. In the middle, batting masterclass Ellyse Perry, alongside Richa Ghosh ( 17), remained unbeaten on (33), leading the side to an eight-wicket win.
