ENG-W vs IND-W 1st ODI: All you need to know, head to head, likely XI

Shifting their attention to ODIs, England women and India women are preparing to meet in the first ODI of the three-match series on Wednesday at The Rose Bowl. India Women head into ODIs brimming with momentum, having performed dominantly in the five-match T20I series. India edged England out 3-2 in a highly competitive five‑match T20I series, knocking down the hosts in the first, second and fourth matches. With huge momentum on their side, women in blue will be confidently carrying their form into the opening ODI.
Batters like Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Richa Ghosh and Harmanpreet Kaur delivered consistently in T20Is to make the task incredibly difficult for England, who remained under pressure throughout the series. Fresh from T20 success, India boast aggressive tempo and belief, with batters and bowlers remaining up to the task.
On the other hand, England women, who are hunting immediate redemption, will be determined to bounce back to challenge India. They fought hard in the T20Is, winning two games, but they narrowly missed out on the series win. Furthermore, England will be boosted by the return of skipper Nat Sciver-Brunt and bowler Sophie Ecclestone. Notably, the ODI series is very vital for both teams in their preparation for the upcoming Women's ODI World Cup, which will be held in India later this year.
