Melbourne Renegades Women are gearing up to host Sydney Sixers Women in the 36th match of the ongoing Women's Big Bash League on Friday at Junction Oval. The clash will mark Melbourne Renegades' final home game of the season. The Renegades, who have slumped to fifth spot in the points table, will need to overcome the in-form Sydney Sixers to put themselves back in the game.

They are coming off a 30-run defeat against the Perth Scorchers. More noticeably, they have suffered three defeats on the trot, making things incredibly perplexing for the defending champions.

Sydney Sixers Women, on the other hand, have jumped to third place following a sensational win against the Melbourne Stars in their previous outing. They are on fire, having chipped in with three consecutive wins. Heading into this game, the Sixers will be eyeing a win to claim the top spot.
