In one of the most high-profile trades in IPL history, Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have struck a deal that sends Sanju Samson to CSK in exchange for all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran. The IPL officially confirmed the move on Saturday morning.

Samson, who captained Rajasthan Royals from 2021 through the end of the previous season, will now don the yellow jersey. He had been retained by RR for INR 18 crore ahead of IPL 2025. Samson’s price remains INR 18 crore, at which RR had retained him ahead of IPL 2025.

Sam Curran’s price in the trade remains unchanged at INR 2.4 crore, the same price CSK paid for him in the auction. Meanwhile, Jadeja’s fee has been revised from INR 18 crore to INR 14 crore.

In his IPL career, Samson has 4,704 runs from 177 matches, averaging 30.94, with a healthy strike rate hovering over 139. He has 26 half-centuries and three centuries. Jadeja, who has been a CSK stalwart since 2012, contributing heavily over the years as a match-winner in multiple seasons, has scored 3,260 runs and taken 170 wickets across his IPL career.
