In a mesmerizing encounter at the Sydney Cricket Ground, Australia emerged victorious in the 3rd Test against Pakistan on day four (Saturday), securing an impressive win by thrashing Pakistan by 8 wickets. Staggering performances from David Warner and Marnus Labuschagne with their scores of (57) and (62*) respectively helped Australia get over the line . The match was filled outstanding performances from both teams, but it was the Australian team that displayed resilience and skill to clean sweep the series. It remained the memorable farewell Test for David Warner who scored his half-century in Australia’s 3-0 win.

Australia's win in the 3rd Test was largely attributed to their formidable batting and bowling department that squarely dominated Pakistan. The pace battery led by Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc, wreaked havoc on the Pakistani batting lineup. Their relentless pace and accuracy created a lot of challenges for the visitors to settle in, resulting in quick wickets at crucial junctures. Pakistan’s top batting order like Babar Azam, Shan Masood and others failed to make their impact.

Despite the formidable Australian team, Pakistan, however, showcased fightback with the bat and ball, but eventually, Australia prevailed in the match that witnessed one of the biggest crowds at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Talking about the game, Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat where they scored 313 runs in their first innings. In reply, Australia had scored 299 in their first innings. Pakistan, in their second innings were bowled out for 115 that resulted in the 130-run target for Australia. Chasing the target, Australia reached the target after losing 2 wickets.
