Soumya Sarkar returns as Bangladesh name squad for West Indies ODIs

Bangladesh have confirmed their squad for the upcoming ODI series against West Indies, with batter Soumya Sarkar making his return to the side. Soumya last played for Bangladesh in Champions Trophy earlier this year. Opener Naim Sheikh and fast bowler Nahid Rana, who were part of the recently concluded ODI series against Afghanistan, have been left out of the squad. Meanwhile, Mahidul Islam Ankon has been handed a maiden ODI call-up. 

Mahidul has been in supreme form in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League. The three-match ODI series is scheduled to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium, and the three T20Is will be played on October 18, 21 and 23, respectively.
