Graeme Cremer makes comeback to Zimbabwe cricket following seven-year absence

Veteran Zimbabwe leg-spinner and former captain, Graeme Cremer, is set to make a remarkable international comeback after a seven-year absence. The 39-year-old has been named in Zimbabwe's 15-member T20I squad for a three-match series against Afghanistan, which begins on October 29, 2025.
Cremer’s last T20I appearance came in a match against Afghanistan at Sharjah in 2018. Notably, he is the only change to the squad which remained undefeated during the Africa Regional Qualifier campaign, replacing fast bowler Trevor Gwandu.
Zimbabwe have secured qualification for the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, and this series against Afghanistan serves an opportunity to fine-tune their squad for the big event. Sikandar Raza will be leading the side.
Zimbabwe squad: Sikandar Raza (c), Brian Bennett, Ryan Burl, Graeme Cremer, Brad Evans, Clive Madande, Tinotenda Maposa, Tadiwanashe Marumani, Wellington Masakadza, Tony Munyonga, Tashinga Musekiwa, Blessing Muzarabani, Dion Myers, Richard Ngarava, Brendan Taylor
